This July, we’ll be saying goodbye to our Development and Membership Director, Nicky Bates, as she moves on to a new opportunity outside of LMB. While it’s hard to imagine LMB without her, we’re deeply grateful for all she’s brought to the organization and the Michigan bicycling community.

Since joining the team, Nicky has been a steady and passionate force behind LMB’s efforts to grow membership and ensure sustainable support for the programs that move our mission forward. Her work, both within LMB and beyond, has always centered on creating space for others and building a stronger, more welcoming bike community and her commitment to making cycling more accessible, inclusive, and joyful for all people in Michigan has left a lasting impact.

We’ll miss her insight and the care she brings to every conversation but we know she’s headed into a role where she’ll continue doing meaningful work, and we couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead for her.

Thank you, Nicky, for the energy, care, and vision you brought to LMB! We wish you the very best in this next chapter and we hope the trails ahead are filled with good rides and even better company.
