Applications Now Open for 2024 Trailblazing Grants

We’re excited to announce: we are now accepting applications for the first ever round of 2024 Trailblazing Grants, through 5:00 p.m. on June 2, 2024.

The Trailblazing Grants are intended to fund projects that design, build, maintain, support, or improve access to Michigan singletrack mountain bike trails. We’ll accept applications from 501(c)3 organizations and local government entities for grants of either $5,000 or $2,000 and under.

LMB advocates for trails of all kinds, but recognizes that natural surface trails receive a disproportionately small amount of existing funding in Michigan. Our Trailblazing Grants are meant to help fill that gap. We are especially interested in projects that support the diverse needs of Michigan’s MTB trail building community. This submission window is open now until June 2nd at 5pm. We’re excited to receive your applications!

Trailblazing Grants will be granted by LMB to local mountain bike and trail associations to support trail building and maintenance efforts across Michigan.

You can also check out the new MMBA shirt now available in the LMB shop! The design features the new MMBA logo on the front, and the tagline “This Shirt Funds Dirt” on the back.

100% of profits generated from this classic tee will fund LMB’s Trailblazing Grants. It’s just one of many big ideas to come as we build support and funding for more trails and higher-quality trails throughout the state. Grab your shirt here:
