Andy Rohrer – Executive Director

Andy brings a lifetime of dedication and strategic acumen to the LMB team, deeply rooted in a passion for cycling. A lifelong cyclist, his connection to the sport has evolved from the road to the trail, but it has never wavered. After 26 years of distinguished service in the Army, first as a paratrooper and later as a strategic planner, Andy has transitioned his focus and determination to LMB’s mission. Bringing a proven record of disciplined military service and an enduring love for all facets of cycling, Andy is deeply committed to advancing the mission of LMB to improve and elevate bicycling to everyone, everywhere in Michigan.

Neal Glazebrook – Events Director

Neal is LMB’s Events Director and a lifelong advocate for trails and cycling across Michigan. A dedicated community leader, he serves on multiple local and statewide boards—including the Michigan Trails Advisory Council and Go Liv Co – Horal Family Foundation—and helps build and maintain natural surface trails. An avid ultra-endurance mountain bike and gravel racer, Neal rides with Team Consolidated and leads group rides for the Livingston County Gravel Riders. When he’s not organizing events or hitting the trails, he enjoys hiking and camping with his wife, Cristi, and their dog daughter, Tessa.

Gina Apone – Communications Director

Gina is LMB’s Communications Coordinator, blending her passion for bicycling and love of writing and communications to help tell LMB’s story as well as expand the reach of our efforts to make Michigan bicycling better for all. She’s on a secret mission to make sure every LMB email is a must-read that keeps you hooked from subject line to sign-off. A mountain biker for over a decade, she enjoys all of the mental and physical challenges, friendships, and joys riding has to offer. When not riding her favorite trail, you can find her marathon training, traveling, getting lost in a good book, or drinking copious amounts of coffee.

Jessica Lanave – Outreach Coordiantor

Jessica brings her passion for advocacy, connection, and community to her role as Outreach Coordinator, where she helps advance LMB’s mission of making bicycling better in Michigan and beyond. An avid cyclist, she loves all types of riding—especially group rides on her road or gravel bike and Sunday Fundays on a tandem with her husband, Jim. As a board member of the Genesee Wanderers Cycling Club and the Assenmacher 100 Ride Coordinator, she’s dedicated to fostering great experiences for riders and communities alike.

Joanie Towarnicky – Data Analyst

Joanie is LMB’s Data Analyst, building on her start at LMB as a MI Healthy Climate Corps member conducting community bike audits to create safer, more bike-friendly streets. Founder and President of Friends of the Grand Blanc Grid, she brings a wealth of experience in business, community engagement, and active transportation advocacy. An avid cyclist, Joanie uses her bike for transportation and recreation, whether running errands or riding with her daughters to school. She believes that safe, bikeable communities are at the heart of helping people become the best version of themselves. Her volunteer work spans organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Flint Community Schools, and she has a long-standing commitment to making biking accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Ted Sliwinski – Lighting Project Coordinator

Ted is LMB’s Lighting Project Coordinator, leading the impactful Light Love program to provide essential bike lights to cyclists in need. A lifelong rider and owner of Metropolis Cycles in Ferndale, he brings over 20 years of experience as a bike shop owner, mechanic, and frame builder in addition to his work in retail and non-profit cycling organizations. Ted’s mix of technical skill and dedication to inclusivity and innovation makes him a perfect fit for advancing LMB’s mission to make cycling safer and more accessible across Michigan.

John Conlin – Education Coordinator

John is LMB’s Education Coordinator, where he organizes Bicycle and Pedestrian for Law Enforcement trainings across Michigan, helping to bridge the gap between public safety and cycling advocacy. A lifelong cyclist and Ann Arbor native, he brings a 29-year career in public safety, law enforcement, and emergency management, along with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Public Affairs from Indiana University. Drawing on decades of riding and racing, John combines his passion for bicycling with his expertise in training coordination to improve roadway safety and make Michigan streets more welcoming for all.
