What We’re Working On

Justice for Vulnerable Roadway Users. LMB supports the VRU bill package, which closes a gap in Michigan law between charges too minor and too severe for crimes against cyclists, pedestrians, and other vulnerable road users. Read more →

Protecting E-Bike Access. Michigan’s 2017 e-bike law drew a clear line between low-speed e-bikes and motor vehicles. LMB is working to defend that law as high-powered “e-motos” are increasingly mislabeled as e-bikes. Read more →

Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety for Law Enforcement (BPSLE). LMB trains law enforcement officers to recognize legal versus illegal roadway behavior by drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians, and to enforce bicycle and pedestrian safety law accurately. Read more →
