These grants are designed to support projects that design, build, maintain, support, or improve access to Michigan’s singletrack mountain bike trails. We received applications from nonprofits and local government entities, for grants of either $5,000 or $2,000 and under.
LMB, through our work as the Michigan Mountain Bike Alliance (MMBA), is committed to advocating for all types of trails, recognizing the need for natural surface trails, which receive less funding in Michigan and is proud to support these trailblazing efforts. Our Trailblazing Grants are our way of helping to bridge that gap, with a special focus on supporting the diverse needs of Michigan’s MTB trail building community.
We were truly impressed with the projects proposed by our awardees. Their vision and dedication align perfectly with MMBA’s mission, and we believe their work will have a lasting impact on local communities and trails. We can’t wait to see the positive changes they’ll bring about, and we thank them for their commitment to enhancing Michigan’s trails.
A huge congratulations to our awardees! We look forward to seeing the incredible work you’ll do for Michigan’s trails. Let’s celebrate these outstanding organizations and the work they’re doing to make Michigan’s trails even better!
