Mesabi Trail Development Tour

We’re excited to have two development tours during our peak season! Staff locations and the calendar allow us to start new tours on both the Erie Canal towpath trail and on the Mesabi Trail! Join us in Grand Rapids on Saturday, July 11 for a welcome dinner and orientation. Early on the 12th we’ll take a motor coach ride to Bearhead Lake State Park near Ely, for your best chance at an optional kayak ride, followed by a 20-mile ride into Ely for 1 night. We leave Ely on the fully-paved and traffic free Mesabi Trail all the way to the west terminus of the trail in Grand Rapids.

You’ll enjoy overnight stays along the way in Tower, Virginia and Hibbing. With the help of Club Mesabi and Discover the Range, we’ve got a long list of sights to see while on the trail.

This is a great opportunity for you- 5 days of riding, 100% paved and traffic-free, lodging, daily sag lunch, staff & mapping! You’ll be out for Dutch-treat dinner on 4 nights because we do not have enough first-hand dining experience on the trail. This is your chance to be the dining expert and help us pick restaurants for future tours.

The tour price is just $1,099.00 per person, double occupancy, or $1,499.00 for solo guests in a private room. These prices cannot be repeated in the future. Please jump on this while you can!
