Dollar Per Rider events help fund LMB’s education and advocacy work. Every one of them helps build a more bicycle-friendly Michigan.
For riders
Look for the $1, $2, and $5 Per Rider badges on the Ride Calendar. Each badge tells you an event sends part of its entry fees to LMB. When you ride one, you support safer roads and more accessible trails for everyone.
For event organizers
We’ve adapted this long-running program to give event organizers and directors an additional avenue for marketing and recognition that works within their event budgets. That matters most for smaller events.
Dollar Per Rider puts your event in front of Michigan’s most active riders. Your badge stands out on the Ride Calendar. Our monthly Dollar Per Rider email sends riders straight to your event.
Starting in 2027, your event makes one pledge to LMB for the year. The pledge is a minimum, and giving more is always welcome.
Your pledge sets your tier. The higher the tier, the more we promote your event. The $1, $2, and $5 Per Rider names stay, so riders still know what each badge means.
Each event pledges on its own. If you organize several events, each one makes its own pledge.
The tiers
Pacer · $1 Per Rider
Pledge $50 to $249, and your event receives the Pacer badge in its Ride Calendar listing.

Elite · $2 Per Rider
Pledge $250 to $499, and your event receives the Elite badge in its Ride Calendar listing.
Everything at the Pacer tier, plus:
- Expanded listing with a link and an event description in the monthly Dollar Per Rider email
Champion · $5 Per Rider
Pledge $500 or more, and your event receives the Champion badge in its Ride Calendar listing.
Everything at the Elite tier, plus:
- Premium listing with a link, an event description, and a photo in the monthly Dollar Per Rider email
- A dedicated spotlight post for your event on LMB’s Facebook and Instagram
Grow your tier
Strong turnout pays off. If your event outperforms expectations, let’s have a conversation about increasing your donation and, if applicable, bumping into a higher tier next year. A higher tier puts your event in front of more riders, with a bigger listing in our Dollar Per Rider email and, at Champion, a spotlight post of its own.
Planning a larger commitment?
Some events want to give well beyond the Champion tier. If that’s your event, talk with LMB staff at office@LMB.org. We’ll work with you on a partnership that fits your support, such as event sponsorship or Proud Partner recognition.
Show your support on your own site
Every pledged event receives LMB’s Proud Supporter mark for its own website. It tells your riders that your event backs safer, better cycling in Michigan.
We provide the full graphic set to every pledged event. It includes horizontal and stacked versions, color and white versions for dark backgrounds, web-ready PNGs, and vector files.
We make two simple requests: display the mark at 220 pixels wide or larger, outside your sponsor grid, and link it to the page on LMB.org that we provide. The mark carries the year, so each renewal brings a new one.
