About Wish-A-Mile® Bicycle Tour
This year’s WAM has shifted from an in-person event to Virtual WAM 2020 and will take place throughout the spring and summer. While WAM will look different this year, the opportunity to be part of a community that is making wishes come true for Michigan kids remains the same. More than 800 Michigan children are in need of a wish come true, and funds raised through WAM are critical to our ability to fulfill our mission. Michigan wish kids need hope now more than ever before. See below for more information on what to expect for Virtual WAM 2020 and how you can ride to grant wishes this summer.

How does Virtual WAM  2020 work?

Step 1: Register
If you are currently registered as a WAM rider, your registration will be shifted to a virtual rider. If you haven’t registered yet, it’s not too late. Register as a virtual participant (Rider or Volunteer).
There is no registration fee, fundraising minimum, or mileage requirement for Virtual WAM 2020. Registered riders who have already paid a registration fee can access this form to indicate how you would like us to handle your registration fee for this year. You have the option to put the funds toward your fundraising efforts for 2020 or receive free registration for WAM 2021.

Step 2: Ride To Grant Wishes
Complete your miles (on the road or at home) and fundraise anytime between now and August 16.

Step 3: Stay Engaged
Look for opportunities to participate in exciting virtual activities throughout the summer.

Step 4: Share Your Journey
Post photos, videos and accomplishments on our Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour Facebook page. Not on social media? Email us your photos of accomplishments through your journey.

Step 5: Celebrate
Email your completed miles to [email protected] and know that you are transforming the lives of Michigan wish children.

fundraising
There is no fundraising minimum for Virtual WAM 2020. All Virtual participants can still earn their commemorative 2020 WAM gear such as jerseys, T-shirts, finisher medal and fundraising incentives. The fundraising incentives have been adjusted for this year only to be sensitive to the current circumstances during these unprecedented times.

T-shirt and finisher medal

Level 2: $900
Above level + jersey

Level 3: $1,200
All above levels + custom socks and water bottle

Level 4: $2,000
All above levels + custom Make-A-Wish hoodie

Level 5 $4,000
All above levels + $50 gift certificate to a local bike shop

Level 6: $6,000
All above levels + wish kid designed jersey

WAM Jr. participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal for reaching their $50 fundraising goal. All commemorative 2020 WAM gear will be awarded after August 16. Stay tuned for more details.
