Ride Around Torch

The RAT is a one-day bike tour with 4 scenic routes along beautiful Torch Lake and orchards and hills in the area. Food stops have plentiful and varied choices including CHERRIES! We are known for a bountiful after-ride catered picnic buffet at the beach on Lake Michigan with live music, for a perfect ending to a great summer day.
This premier ride attracts riders from all over the US, many who have ridden it for many years and bring their families and friends to join them for a fun “ride together event”. The RAT is an important source of income for the Cherry Capital Cycling Club’s grant program that provides funds for multiple projects that enhance bike riding in the Grand Traverse area. Past grants have helped fund improvements for TART trails, NMMBA, the Betsie River Pathway and many other bike related projects in area townships and municipalities.
The RAT is staffed by friendly volunteers who make registration a breeze, staff SAG vehicles on the route and assist at the food stops. Ride t-shirts are available for purchase.
