“Connect with Adventure”

The 29th Annual Quiet Adventures Symposium will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the MSU Pavilion (4301 Farm Lane, Lansing, MI) between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. The Symposium is hosted by the nonprofit Quiet Adventures Society, formerly the Quiet Water Society. Admission for adults is $15 in advance through the website online, $20 at the door, students w/ID $5 and children under 12 are free.

The Quiet Adventures Symposium is where people passionate about quiet non-motorized activities come together. The group includes paddlers and bicyclists, hikers and fishermen and women, backpackers and campers, and all other quiet adventurers. The number of attendees reaches 1,500-2,000, depending on Michigan weather. The best adventure experts come and speak on a wide range of topics. In 2023 speakers shared their experiences and expertise about Isle Royale, the Keweenaw Peninsula, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and the North Country Trail to name a few. Check out the 2023 QAS program to get a sense of the event.

Exhibitors bring their outdoor wares to sell and talk about. Everything from hatchets to jewelry, boats to bikes, cars to hammocks. There are guides and outfitters to help connect you with adventure. In the arena try your hand at fly fishing and other skills. Many local conservation and advocacy groups will be at the show with informative and interesting booths. A Youth area is staffed by the MSU Extension 4-H.
