Participants create teams of 4 to complete a fun and light-hearted 1-hour or 2-hour Adventure Challenge. Based on Adventure Racing, youth and adult members will primarily be riding Mountain Bike trails with some Trekking and Land Navigation required. Visit www.miscabike.org/adventure for current event details!

What is an Adventure Challenge?

It is based on Adventure Racing, but the competition is fun and light-hearted.  Time and points count, but there are no podiums, medals, or prizes; just bragging rights.  It includes:

  • Mountain Biking (majority of event on bike)
  • Trekking (walking/running)
  • Land Navigation (using a map and compass).

Adventure Challenges are timed events for teams of four, with a predetermined time cutoff. Our events typically have a 1-hour or a 2-hour cutoff.  The “challenge” is to find as many control points as possible within the time limit. Open to coaches too, so students can participate with (or against) coaches!
