The Leelanau Harvest Tour is a great biking adventure for both families and single riders as the fall colors begin to show and the orchards and vineyards are laden with fruit. The LHT ride offers 3 different routes, with new routes for 2025 directing you through the most scenic roads of Leelanau including all three food stops and included picnic lunch taking place all in beautiful waterfront parks. The routes are on paved roads and trails, and pass by many farms, quaint villages and nearby Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Optional commemorative short and long sleeve t-shirts are available.
Beautiful Routes; The 19 mile route directs you to and along the peaceful roads of Lee Point and Stony Point passing along West Grand Traverse Bay. This route is ideally suited for riders of all skill levels and families. Food stop located on the water and finish up at the waterfront in Suttons Bay for included lunch picnic.
The 40 mile route begins on the same route as the 19 mile continuing beyond Suttons Bay up to the north end of Lake Leelanau for a second food stop. This route takes you to the beautiful vista views of the Manitou Islands and Lake Michigan. Finish up for an included picnic lunch at the waterfront in Suttons Bay.
The 63 mile route begins on the same route as the 19 mile continueing beyond Suttons Bay up to Northport by way of rolling Leelanau hills. A second food stop is located on the waterfront of the village of Northport. After passing by the Idyll Farms you will join the 40 mile route with a third food stop on North Lake Leelanau. Finish up for the included picnic lunch at the waterfront in Suttons Bay.
Option 8 mile ride north of Northport takes you to the Lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula and back rejoining the 63 mile course.
