Bike & Pedestrian Safety Education – Waterford

LMB’s Bike & Pedestrian Safety Education series is designed for law enforcement officials and community members. The five-hour interactive sessions will cover the following topics:

• The Michigan Vehicle Code and Michigan Compiled Laws segments relating to the use of the bicycle on Michigan’s roadways and sidewalks.
• Best practices for bicycle crash investigation and reporting.
• Updates on accepted engineering designs for bicycle travel, including an overview of Complete Streets concepts.
• Safe bicycle-riding practices and effective models to educate about them

The training sessions are designed to be interactive and stimulate discussion amongst participants about their real-world situations and tips on how to handle future occurrences.
