Some guests asked for a week-long tour on rail trails in Michigan, and we’ve found this one in the northern Lower Peninsula. Arrive Sunday afternoon in Petoskey, and look forward to Monday’s ride, 30+ miles out & back traffic-free on the Little Traverse Wheelway. Tuesday, we depart and take the Northwestern State Trail 35 miles to Mackinaw City for 2 nights! Spend the layover day as you wish- join our tour staff for a road ride out to Wilderness Lake State Park, or relax on the beach, or take the ferry to/from Mackinac Island. On Thursday we depart headed south to Cheboygan on the bike trail, then turn inland to Indian River for the night. On Friday we return to Petoskey for the tour end, about noon. Good food and a comfortable bed each night!

This tour is almost 100% traffic-free, save for a few places where the rail-trail doesn’t go. In addition, none of the days feature really long distances or steep hills, so it should be a delightful week under clear blue northern skies. Come along!
