Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge is a point-to-point mountain bike race held traditionally on the 1st Saturday of November. It starts in Kalkaska Michigan and ends at Timber Ridge Resort where participants and spectators celebrate an exciting day of competitive mountain biking. In addition to the amateur race, the Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge also features a Professional Mountain Bike Race where both national and international pros compete for coveted winners’ title and a Juniors race! The Iceman also includes a morning 8-9 mile race, the Meijer Slush Cup. And an afternoon “race” for our littlest riders on balance or pedal bikes, the Meijer Sno Cone. To kick off the Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge, the Friday before the race the Ice Cycle Expo is held featuring vendors for all of your biking needs, information from area nonprofits that focus on biking, trails or conservation, and where you can pick up your packet before the race. The Ice Cycle Expo is hosted at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.
