Join us for the 2022 Ride 2 End Suicide! You can ride with us in person or virtually, and you can also choose to reserve a seat to attend this year’s event lunch (whether you ride or not!).

IN PERSON OPTION:  If you choose the in person option, you will enjoy a ride on the beautiful Macomb Orchard Trail, and support suicide prevention awareness and crisis intervention in our community. The Ride will start and end at Capital Banquet Center, located on 31 Mile Road in Washington, MI. The Ride route is 15 miles out and back on the trail from Washington to Richmond (30 miles total distance). Registration/Packet Pick Up will be open at 8:00am on Ride Day, and we suggest that riders plan to leave between 8:00am and 9:30am. Riders can turn around at any point, based on their fitness level.  Riders also have the option to ride the route multiple times, if you have a specific distance goal in mind!

VIRTUAL OPTION:  We have a VIRTUAL registration option, so that you can support the 2022 Ride from home, in your neighborhood, or on your favorite stretch of trail! This year, many people are experiencing mental distress, and your support is needed more than ever.  When you choose the VIRTUAL Ride, you can also create your own Virtual Team to Ride!

EVENT LUNCH: Capital Banquet Center will prepare a healthy and delicious buffet lunch for participants to enjoy on event day.  You can also sign up for the lunch only!  We would love to have you join us for the meal and raffle prize drawings.  This will start at 11:30am.

EVENT SHIRT: The 2022 shirt will have this year’s unique, motivational theme printed on it, and will be a keepsake for you always.  The shirts are moisture wicking, stain release, odor resistant, and have sun protection built in.  It is such a comfortable shirt, you will wear it many times after Ride Day!

All proceeds from this event will support these organizations:

Common Ground has been helping people move from crisis to hope for over 45 years. Dedicated to helping runaway and homeless youth, victims of crime, people with mental illness, and others in critical situations, Common Ground is a lifeline for Oakland, Wayne and Genesee County residents.  Common Ground has continued to stay open during the pandemic and has served people in person, via mobile crisis team, computer chat, texts, calls and telepsychiatry.

KnowResolve is dedicated to promoting mental health and preventing youth suicide through outreach, advocacy and education. Through suicide prevention programs and The SHED (an after school teen center), KnowResolve has connected over 140,000 students to information, resources and skills to promote resilience, self-empowerment, suicide risk factors, and how to connect those who are struggling to available resources.

Team Cont;nue Foundation is dedicated to supporting families of adolescents and young adults who have been treated for suicide attempts and ideation. Team Cont;nue fills a niche when supporting families navigating suicide prevention. In between in-patient and out-patient psychiatric care is a very difficult time to navigate as a family, and the Team Cont;nue Foundation is focused on helping families through this time.
