Hiawatha’s Revenge is a free, non-competitive gravel ride through Michigan’s Hiawatha National Forest, starting and finishing in Munising. Founded in 2014, the ride offers three distances — 100 miles, 100K, and 50K — welcoming cyclists of all levels to explore quiet forest roads, rugged two-track, and remote backcountry through eight distinct gravel sectors. The 100-mile route covers 102 miles with 2,258 feet of climbing; the 100K spans 62 miles (1,616 ft); and the 50K rolls 31 miles (809 ft). There is no entry fee and no timing — just fellowship on two wheels through one of the Upper Peninsula’s most spectacular landscapes. All proceeds and awareness support the Munising Bay Trail Network (MBTN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building and maintaining singletrack trails across the region. The next ride is June 6, 2026.
