The League of Michigan Bicyclists is working to make Michigan a bicycle friendly state. In order to accomplish this we need your time, talent and treasure. We need volunteers at all levels: from teaching bicycle safety to running a bicycle tour to talking with government officials to working with MDOT to serving on the Board of Directors. The League is made up of individuals working together for the common cause of making Michigan a bicycle friendly state. 

Even though we rely heavily on volunteers, we still need your financial support to assist the League in meeting the challenges of making Michigan a safe state for bicycling

Our three areas of focus are:

To build relationships

Building relationships will have a greater impact in furthering the goal of making Michigan a bicycle friendly state. This includes our members, all other cyclists, the industry (manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers), advocacy organizations, trade associations, tour operators, bike clubs, and service providers supporting the bicycling community

To inspire more people to travel by bicycle

Whether it be through one of the Shoreline Tours, our efforts with grade school youth, the literature we develop and distribute to schools and other groups, through efforts such as providing bicycle parking or simply through participation at many events through out the year we seek to help the people of Michigan develop a love for bicycling.

To participate in advocacy efforts that will make Michigan a safe bicycling  state.

We are constantly on the lookout for issues at both the local and state level that would affect bicyclists in Michigan. We are able to mobilize our members and resources to work on these issues to the satisfaction of the bicycling community.

In order to continue and expand our efforts, we need your support. A donation to the League of Michigan Bicyclists is tax deductible. Please consider putting the League at the top of your charitable giving list.
